I know it's obligatory for writers to ramble on about the pile of books on their bedside table - but I really have been enjoying "46% Better Than Dave" by Alastair Puddick. It's about a guy (yes, he's called Dave - you've got it) who finds the chap who's moved next door has exactly the same name but is more successful, better looking and happier than he is in every way. Cue very male self-doubt and jealousy, and a very funny build up of events. I wish I'd thought of it. It was shortlisted for the Wodehouse Humorous FIction Prize in 2019.
